Paula Swiecicki

Mrs. Paula Katherine (Biondolillo) Swiecicki, of Wood River, Illinois, born on July 5, 1943 in Alton, Illinois, to the late Mary (Guarino) Biondolillo and the late Paul Biondolillo, passed away at age 75 on September 29, 2018 in Granbury, Texas after a brief and courageous fight against cancer.

Paula K, as she was known to her friends, was a pure Sicilian who loved to dance. A graduate of East Alton-Wood River High School, Paula grew up in the Little Italy neighborhood in Wood River, IL She was employed by the State of Illinois Department of Employment Security as the Office Manager Secretary as a Stenographer who was proficient and an expert in Shorthand until retiring after 37 years.

Paula was married to Robert Swiecicki. He survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Ron Swiecicki of Alton, IL and Jeffrey Swiecicki of East Alton, IL; and brother, Sam Biondolillo of Springfield, IL.

Paula is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Burcham and his wife Tammy of East Alton, IL and Rob Swiecicki of Alton, IL; daughter, Lisa Keys in Texas; and sister, Mary Grace Beneze of Washington State. She is also survived by her granddaughter Andrea Martinez and her husband Jose who reside in Texas, a granddaughter Tabitha Turso and her husband Francesco who reside in Edwardsville, IL , granddaughters Crystal Swiecicki and her partner Brandon Hofgren, Amber Swiecicki and her partner Wayne Paul, Brittany Nichol and Tiffany Swarringin and husband David, grandsons Clint Swiecicki and his partner Samantha Reeves, Corey Swiecicki, Daniel Swiecicki and his partner Ivy Pizzo, and Trevor Swiecicki as well as 13 great-grand children.

Burial will be in Texas.

She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, too many to mention here by name
