Paul Oscar Jones Jr., a beloved resident of Alton, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on Friday, January 4, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, Paul was known for his warmth, kindness, and dedication.
Paul was a committed and valued employee at Olin Corp., where he worked diligently as a Scrap Controller. Over his many years there, he made significant contributions to the workplace and was respected by his colleagues for his expertise and integrity.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Paul Oscar Jones Sr. and Ethel Ann Jones, who instilled in him the values of hard work and generosity that he carried throughout his life.
Survivors include 2 sons; Nicholas (Alexis) Jones of Villa Ridge, Mo., Cody Jones of Camdenton, Mo., grandchildren; Christianne and Ethel, 1 brother; Jackie (Kathy) Jones of Alton, nephew; Chris (Shanny) Jones of Grafton and other nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Paul was also preceded by a brother; Steven Jones
While deeply saddened by his passing, Paul’s family finds comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his parents and brother. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and love, cherished by all who knew him.
