Paul “Jack” June Mead, 83, died at 6:42 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born September 27, 1933 in Ridgeway, IL the son of Eugene and Lavern (Sauls) Mead. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Heartland Baptist Church in Alton. He retired after 32 years from Owens Illinois Glass in the mold repair department. He went on to work for 10 years for Labor Local 338 until retiring. On March 5, 1959 in Alton, IL he married Addie (Leary) and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Belinda DeMond of TN, Rhonda Bond (Chuck) of Cuba, MO, Paula Bertels (Louie) of Woodburn, IL and one son, Steven Mead (Nikki) of Alton, eight grandchildren, Jacob, Brett, and Eric DeMond (Krystal), Dustin, Danielle and David Bond, Zachary Mead and Alisha Bertels, four great grandchildren, Kaylyn, Kerstyn, Weston and Kaiden DeMond, one brother, Ron Mead (Diane) of Godfrey.
