Paul Fenton

Paul D. Fenton, 80 of Brighton, died unexpectedly at 11:15 P.M. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton.

He was born to the late Bruce and Elda (Meier) Fenton on September 22, 1935 in Macoupin County, Illinois.

Paul worked as a Instrument Repair Electrician for Laclede Steel.

He married Marie (Brands) Fenton on February 14, 1953.  She survives and resides in Brighton.

Besides his wife, Paul is survived by 2 daughters and son in law; Vicki (Bob) Fenton-Aubuchon of Brighton, Brenda Pacini of Brighton, 1 son and daughter in law; Michael (Pam) Fenton of Brighton, 8 grandchildren and spouses; Carrie Cougill, Michael (Ashley) Cougill, Nick (Kristin) Aubuchon, Amanda (Ned) Dolan, Natalie Pacini, Heather (Robert) Sipes, Justin (Tonya) Fenton, Paula (Joe) Tretter, 18 great grandchildren; Caitlyn, Alexander, Mackenzie, Anna, Mason, Adalyn, Easton, Caeden, Landon, Beckett, Blair, Cole, Jack, Jake, Lacey, Lily, Joey and Logan, 1 sister and brother in law; Judi (Leon) Watts of Jerseyville, 1 brother and sister in law; Dennis (Betty) Fenton of Godfrey, 2 sister in laws; Dixie Hussey of Basco, IL., Patricia Thornsworth of Atlanta, 1 brother in law; Norman Dickerman of Jerseyville.

Preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter; Cynthia Marie Fenton, 3 brothers; Gene, Donald and Alan Fenton, 1 sister; Betty Desherlia

Memorial Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 10, 2016 at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Brighton.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 11, 2016 at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Brighton.

The Rev. Patty Stone will officiate

Memorials may be made to the Back Stoppers or the Parkinson Association.
