Patty Sue Flanagan, 51, died at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at her home in Wood River. Born August 17, 1966 in Erwin, NC, she was the daughter of Hayden F. “Whitey” Green of Alton and the late Victoria Ann (Smith) Green. Patty retired in 2010 as a billing specialist for the American Water Company and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton. Along with her father, she is survived by her fiancé, Gary Basden of Wood River, three daughters, Jana Green of Alton, Jeni Yarbrough (Tony) of Alton, and Jami Garcia of Alton, 10 grandchildren, Josh, Madison, Jordyn, Karson, Ava, Bre’anna, Robbie, Cooper, Lailah and Jaydin, and a great grandchild on the way. Also surviving is a brother, Michael Green (Esther) of Worden. She was preceded in death by her mother and a sister, Teri Tennyson. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church. Reverend Andre’ Dobson will officiate. Burial will be private.
