Patsy Ann Kaufmann, nee Rasch, 87, of Belleville, IL, born February 15, 1938, in Mascoutah, IL, died Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at her residence.
Patsy worked as a medical secretary at Belleville Memorial Hospital for 35 years. She was very proud of her medical knowledge and her career at Memorial. Above all, Patsy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Patsy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Erwin “Ernie” Kaufmann; her father, Edward Rasch; and her mother, Annie, nee Browning, King.
She is survived by her two children, Denis (Paula) Voelkel and Debbie K. Altman; three grandchildren, Alicia Ann Stewart, Crystal (Matt) Carrington, and Cassie Voelkel;
five great-grandchildren, Noelle Jenkins, Alex Helfrich, Allie Acker, Scarlett Carrington, and Ronan Carrington; two sisters, Janice Dryer and Corliss (Jim) Berger; and her first husband, Robert L. Voelkel.

According to Patsy’s wishes, cremation services were held.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
