Patsy Beilsmith

Patsy Louise Robinson Beilsmith, 73, of Brighton, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Alton Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 28, 1952, in Alton, the daughter of the late Nelson Russell and Nora Orena (Lowe) Robinson.

A lifelong homemaker, Patsy raised her three children in the quiet rural beauty of Brighton alongside the love of her life, David.

She found joy in simple pleasures—planting flowers under the sun, casting a line with a fishing pole in hand, and camping beneath the stars with David, where together they built countless treasured memories and years of laughter. Patsy also created beauty with her own two hands through crocheting and the delicate, detailed painting of arts and crafts.

As her children grew, Patsy embraced her most cherished role—grandmother. She never missed a chance to rock a new grandbaby, offering the same warmth and comfort that defined her life. Her laugh was infectious, her smile lit up every room, and her gift for making everyone feel deeply loved was her greatest legacy.

She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the joy she brought to everyday moments, and the strength of her spirit that will live on in her family and all who were blessed to know her.

She married David Beilsmith on February 20, 1971, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brighton. Together they have three children Jason (Kathy) Beilsmith of Wood River, Trevor (Brandy) Beilsmith of Jerseyville, and Sarah Beilsmith (Jacob Barnett) of Medora; twelve grandchildren Kadie (Aaron) Smith, Nelson Beilsmith, Kaitlyn Beilsmith (Dillan Reed), Brenna Cummines, Bryson Cummines, Marley Beilsmith, Zander Beilsmith, Samantha Brown, Matthew Brown, Allison Brown, Wyatt Lahr, and Chase Lahr; six great grandchildren; brother Ray (Kay) Robinson.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Nelson and Orena; sister Mary Kay (Terry) Lahr.

Visitation will be held from 3 pm until 6 pm on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton.
