Patricia Stark

Dr. Patricia Ann Stark, beloved sister, aunt, friend and compassionate healer, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital surrounded by family and friends. She was 88 years old. Patricia was born on April 21, 1937 in Boone, Iowa to Keith Curtis Moore and Mary Louise Johnston. From an early age, she was known for her quick wit, sharp mind, and kind heart with an innate desire to understand and help others – qualities that shaped both her personal life and her distinguished career.

Patricia was married to Ed Stark in 1958. Though they later divorced in 1988, they shared many meaningful years together filled with love and memories and remained friends throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her:

  • Mother: Mary Louise Johnston
  • Brothers
    • Richard Moore

    • Dwight Robinson
    • Duane Robinson

She is survived by her:

  • Sister: Judi Moore Martinez (Robert)
  • Several nieces and nephews who will forever remember “Aunt Patty” for her warmth and humor

Patricia earned her Ph.D in psychology and spent over 45 years serving her community as a Psychologist in private practice. It is during these years she met her most cherished friend, Linda Calvert, who worked for her for over 40 years. Through her work she also met good friend, Lynette Blum, who was also a loyal employee. Roger and Pam Dalton were good friends and neighbors who were always willing to help Patricia in her greatest times of need.

Her work was more than a profession – it was a calling. Through decades of dedication, she touched countless lives and left a legacy of compassion, wisdom, and hope.

Dr. Patricia Ann Stark’s life was an example of perseverance and purpose. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit continues to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a mental health organization or a charity of your choice, honoring her lifelong dedication to helping others.

Services: A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at a later date.
