Patricia (Patty) Jane Hayes, 55, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at 10:24 am, at Evelyn’s House, in Missouri.
She was born on September 20, 1962, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Larry E. and Judith M. (Cobb) Hayes. Sister of Michael Hayes and his wife Alice and Gregory Hayes and his wife Valerie. Loving aunt to Hallie, Caroline and Caty Jane Hayes.
Patty was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in Alton, in 1980. Later graduating from Eastern Illinois University in 1984 for Speech Communications. She traveled all over the world coordinating and organizing events in her various positions over the last 30 years. Patty always enjoyed assisting other and loved her time spent with her family and countless friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Patty was preceded in death by her grandparents Edwin and Doris Cobb and Hubert and Grace Hayes.
Visitation will be Monday, April 2, 2018 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral mass will be at 10 am on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton, with Father Jeremy officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life Riverbend and/or Sheffield Garden Walk of Chicago in Lincoln Park.
