Patricia A. Macias, 71, of Alton, passed away peacefully at 5:26 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at La Bella Nursing & Rehabilitation in Alton.
She was born on February 28, 1955, in Alton, Illinois, to the late Cecil and Petra (Carmona) Macias.
Patricia dedicated many years to working in retail and banking and found great fulfillment in serving her community as a longtime sales associate in the Gift Shop at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was known for her caring nature, kind heart, and willingness to help others. Patricia had a deep love for music and dancing, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with her family. Her warm spirit and joyful personality brought happiness to those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving son, Michael (Audra) Berkley of Alton, Illinois; her brother, Cecil Macias Jr. ; her brother-in-law, Jim Seago; her sister-in-law, Bridget (Doyle) Macias; along with extended family and many friends who will cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Macias; her sister, Linda (Macias) Seago; and her sister-in-law, Diane (Yenne) Macias.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
A Celebration of Patricia's Life will follow at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Riverbend Axe and Games in East Alton. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her life, share memories, and celebrate the love and kindness she brought to those around her.
