Patricia Highlander

Patricia “Pat” Highlander, 89, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 10:15 AM on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Evercare of Edwardsville in Edwardsville, IL. She was born July 26, 1937 in Staunton, IL, the daughter of the late Joseph & Mary (Flandro) Bischan. She married Fred Highlander on November 29, 1958 & he passed away April 27, 2011.

Pat was a homemaker who also was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Staunton, IL, & a member of the Staunton Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son - Brad (Nancy) Highlander of Staunton, IL; two granddaughters - Lindsey Highlander of Glen Carbon, IL, & Amanda Highlander of Concord, MA; one sister - Josephine Bischan of Staunton, IL; & several nieces & nephews also survive. Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by infant twin granddaughters in infancy.

Private funeral services will be held at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with Father Mike Haag officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL. Memorials are suggested to St. Michael Catholic Church of Staunton, IL.
