Patricia A. Milligan, 76, passed away at 5:34 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018 at her residence.
She was born in Mannington, Kentucky on March 20, 1942, and was one of four children born to the late DeWitt Hoskins and Doshie (Back) Govens.
Before relocating to Jerseyville in 2009, she resided in St. Libory, Il. where she was a Nurses Aid at the Washington County Hospital and the Friendship Manor, both in Nashville, Il. She later retired from the Freeburg Nursing Home.
Patricia had a love for all things family, and treasured each and every moment she spent with each of them. She had a love for the outdoors, especially enjoyed fishing and gardening, as she would spend numerous hours outside planting. Additionally, as a stroke survivor, Patricia enjoyed attending her montly support groups at OSF St. Anthony’s.
She is survived by two daughters and a son in-law, MaryAnn and Stephen Kanallakan of Jerseyville and Pamela Scanlan of Jerseyville; a son and daughter in-law, Ronald and Nae Scanlan of Freeburg, Il.; a sister and brother in-law, Karen and Gary Heyen of Litchfield, Il.; and three grandchildren, Kelsea Kanallakan of Jerseyville, Benjamin and Drew Scanlan both of Freeburg, Il.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Lowal Russel, a brother Louis Hoskins, and a sister, Lula Songer.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation rights will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Eastland Baptist Church. Rev. John Gibson will officiate.
In Lieu of flowers, Memorials may be given to OSF Hospice.
