Orville C. Schollmeyer, Sr., 66, passed away at 2:12 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 3, 1950 in St. Louis, he was a son of Richard Schollmeyer and Mable Irene (Dale) Cauley.
Survivors include two sons, Orville (Rose) Schollmeyer, Jr. of Alton and David Schollmeyer of Godfrey; 3 daughters, Edna Utrecht of O’Fallon, Mo., Ida (Fred) Meyers of Cottage Hills, and Kathy (J.W.) Dale of Cottage Hills; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Joyce Holt of East Alton and Karen Schollmeyer of Herculaneum, Mo.; and a brother, Larry Schollmeyer of Cottage Hills.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 grandchildren, McKinzie Grieve, Ashley Haas and Steve Utrecht, Jr.; 1 great grandchildren, Emsley Bowers; and 3 brothers, Richard “Butch”, John, and Robert Schollmeyer.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
