Oden M. Rice, Jr., 61, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center of Alton.
Born on April 29, 1955 in Granite City, he was the son of Oden M. Rice and Betty Ann (Knipping) Hill.
Oddie had been a Technician for Consolidated Management in Texas and a Project Manager for Dell Computer Corporation.
He is survived by twin sons, Nathan (Sarah) Rice of Belleville, Matthew Rice of Godfrey; three grandchildren, Olivia Futrell, Sophia and Mary Rice; Ashley Hurst, whom he help raise like a daughter; two sisters, Winona (Tim) Gossett of Rosewood Heights, Helen (Bill) Smith of Fosterburg; and former wife, Terri Downs of East Alton.
His parents; son, Thomas Daniel Rice, in infancy; and two brothers, Nathan and Otto Rice preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
Memorials may be made to the S.I.P.R.A. Otto Rice Memorial Scholarship Fund.
