Norma J. Wilson, 90, formerly of Holiday Shores, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at her home.
Born Oct. 21, 1935 in Alton, she was a daughter of Albert E. Doerr and Genevieve (Edelen) Doerr. They both preceded her in death.
Norma retired after 35 years as a secretary for Alton Mental Health Center. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. She also loved attending antique auctions, refurbishing many antique pieces. She also was proud of being an usher, along with her daughter, at The Fox Theatre in St. Louis for ten years. A dear friend to Lee Russo, Norma also spent many years working at her floral shop, Lee Russo Designs in Edwardsville.
She married David T. Wilson Dec. 31, 1964 in Alton. He preceded her in death, as well as her first husband, William Jordan; a son, Thomas Jordan; three sisters, Sharon Hanks, Susan Kasikantiris, and Laura Gill; a son-in-law, Patrick Fischer; and her step mother, Beatrice “Bee” Doerr.
Norma is survived by her children, Patrick (Tammy) Jordan of Wood River, Teresa Jordan of Alton, Kathryn Fischer of Wood River, and David Wilson of Edwardsville; seven grandchildren, Michael Jordan, Corisa Wood, Jordan Braundmeier, Candace Fischer, Louis Fischer, George Millsap, and Hank Jordan; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Fry of Roxana; and a brother, John “Jed” (Glenna) Doerr of East Alton.
Memorial visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 19 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A procession will then depart for burial at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
