Norma F. Minor, 84, formerly of Cottage Hills, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Rogers, AR.
She was born on August 28, 1934, at Ft. Smith, in Sebastian AR, the daughter of the late George and Irene (McEachin) Harper. She married William A. Minor with whom she shared her life until his passing in 1996.
Norma was a life member of the Alton VFW Lady's Auxiliary and Illinois chapter of the DAVA, for which she served 2 years as state commander from 2008 to 2010. She was an Auxiliary Past Commander. She was a member of the East Alton Assembly of God. After retirement, she spent four summers with special touch ministries.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Eve Rose, Dennis Rose Jr., and Carol Combs; a great granddaughter, Beau Rose King; a brother, Richard Harper; and 8 beloved cats.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughters, Patricia Maxine Waters-Hester and Carol A. Waters; a sister, Earlene Smith, and her best friend, Naomi Waters.
A memorial service will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 am on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Assembly Church of God in East Alton.
