Norma Jeanne Briddell, age 96, of Caseyville, IL, born on October 8, 1929 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at San Gabriel Memory Care, Highland, IL.
Norma was a graduate of East St. Louis Senior High School, a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and the Holy Trinity Quilters. She worked as a clerk for 18 years for Travelers Insurance Company, St. Louis, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Briddell; her son, William Briddell; her parents, William and Agnes, nee DeWitt Griffin; and her siblings, William Griffin and Margaret Prine.
Norma is survived by her children, Denise (Mike) Bone of Collinsville, IL and Richard (Sarah) Briddell of Edwardsville, IL; her daughter-in-law, Julie Briddell of Belleville, IL; her grandchildren, Stephen (Becky) Bone, Nicholas Briddell, and Olivia (Seamus) McGarvey; and three great granddaughters, Emily and Katelynn Bone and Annie McGarvey.
No visitation will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Fr. Harold Fisher O.M.I. officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
