Nina Limbaugh

Nina Limbaugh, 88, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Stillwater Memory Care in Edwardsville.

Born May 11, 1937, in Puxico, Missouri, Nina was the cherished daughter of the late Levi and Orpha (nee Dunn) Sr. On February 4, 1956, she married the love of her life, Robert Lee Limbaugh, in her hometown of Puxico. Together, Nina and Robert built a beautiful life filled with faith, family, and hard work until his passing on March 26, 2019.

A devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Edwardsville, Nina lived her faith daily through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for others. She and Robert proudly owned and operated Limbaugh Builders for many years, leaving a legacy of craftsmanship and community service.

Nina’s hands were rarely still—whether quilting intricate patterns, baking with love, or painting with quiet joy. Yet her truest happiness came from her family. She delighted in spoiling her grandchildren, sharing laughter around the table, especially during “Hot Dice” games at family gatherings, and creating memories that will live on in their hearts. Those who knew Nina will remember her warm spirit, her infectious smile, and her gift for making everyone feel like family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert, her parents, and her siblings Levi Dunn Jr., Carl Dunn, Oral Dunn, Aileen Hendricks, Lois Allen, Kate Moore, and Myrtle Dunn.

Nina is survived by her devoted sons, Jeff (Paula) Limbaugh of St. Louis, MO, and Doug (Deidre Bliss) Limbaugh of Phoenix, AZ; her brother, Elmer “Doc” Dunn; her adoring grandchildren, Paige, John, Ashley, and Issac Limbaugh; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever carry her memory.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel in Glen Carbon, Illinois, and again on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Edwardsville. A celebration of her life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rob Schneider officiating.

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, friends and family may gather for visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri, with interment at Puxico City Cemetery. There, Nina will be laid to rest beside her beloved Robert.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Edwardsville and will be accepted at the funeral home or church.
