Nina Marie Bricker, 82, passed away at 12:46 pm on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Alton Memorial Hospital. 

She was born on July 31, 1941 in Rochester, IL to Clara Violet Louesa Howard. 

She married James Lee Bricker Sr. on July 29. 1969 in Alton.

Nina graduated from Hillsboro High School. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were her world. She enjoyed many things in life, including gardening, sewing, and crafting. She often made gifts for family and friends. 

But nothing made her happier than spending time making memories with her family. She was a firm believer in Angels, and now she has received her wings.

In addition to her husband, Nina is survived by her children, Karen Halleman of Alton, Susan Rosser (Doug Smith) of Shelbina, Missouri, James (Linda) Bricker Jr. of Lakeshore, Michigan, Jeff (Janice) Bricker of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and Kevin Halleman (Renee Brito) of Alton; her sister, Ila Kreigbaum of Alvin, Texas; 13 grandchildren (6 girls and 7 boys); 19 great-grandchildren (9 girls and 10 boys); and 3 great-great-grandchildren (3 boys). 

She was preceded in death by Mother, Clara Violet Howard; a brother; Kenneth Howard; one great-grandson, Domanic Ean Ray Brown; and a son-in-law, James Jones. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton from 3pm until time of services at 5pm. Reverend Clifford Martin will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
