Nathan “Nate” Dale Yates, 25, passed away unexpectedly at 8:25 am Monday, February 14, 2011.
He was born on October 13, 1985 in Alton, IL, the son of Thomas Dale Yates and Denise (Clymer) Yates.
Nathan served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked in construction work with Quality Construction. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, skateboarding, hunting, ski shooting, working, playing with kids, especially Brayden. He loved life.
He is survived by his father, Thomas Dale Yates of South Roxana and his mother, Denise Yates of Bethalto; his paternal grandmother, Rosemary Yates of Bethalto; his maternal grandmother, Sharon “Toots” Clymer of Sedelia, KY; his paternal great grandparents, George and Henrietta Hughes of Roxana; his siblings, Nic Yates and his fiancé, Krysta Wooley and Mallory Yates all of Bethalto, Matthew and Kyle Yates of Rosewood Heights; a nephew, Brayden Yates; his aunts and uncles, James Yates, John and Kay Yates, Tim and Missy Yates and David and Jaime Brown and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Truman Yates and his maternal grandfather, Fred Clymer.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, February 18, 2011 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Mullins and Pastor John Blackmore.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
