Natasha Spates

With love and remembrance, we celebrate the life of Natasha Deanna Spates, a beautiful spirit who was born on November 3, 1987. Though her time here was brief, the light she carried and the energy she brought into this world will never be forgotten.

Natasha-affectionately known as "Tootie"-was full of life. She loved to dance, enjoy herself, and be surrounded by friends. She had a vibrant presence that could shift the atmosphere of a room, bringing warmth, laughter, and a sense of ease to those around her. Her spirit was lively, her energy unforgettable, and her presence one that left a lasting impression.

A proud graduate of Alton High School, Class of 2006, Natasha remained connected to her roots and the people she grew up with. She valued family, loyalty, and connection, and carried a giving heart-always willing to show up and be there in her own way.

She is lovingly remembered by her beloved children Xariyah Caldwell and Kah'Mari Caldwell, parents, Vanessa and Otis Lucas, and her siblings, Aquaia (Tim) Evans, Alicia (Josh) Habermuhl, O'Tisha Lucas, Ribbian Spates, Britnee (Gordy) Ballinger, Jason (Ashley) Lucas, Charles Taylor & Brandon Lucas. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

Natasha was preceded in death by Lorene Caton, Charles Spates, Willie Mae Lacy, and Debra Everage, who now welcome her with open arms.
