Nancy Jones

Nancy L. Jones age 97 departed this life Saturday November 2, 2013 at 5:24 p.m at her home with her family. She was born June 15, 1916 in Leflore County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Clifton Jones and Matilda Branch. Most of her adult life was spent in the Madison/Venice area.  Nancy was homemaker and took joy in caring for her children and grandchildren.  She was a past member of Canaan Galilee Baptist Church and was “ Aunt Nancy” to the community and loved by all.  She is survived by 2 sons, Clifton Jones of Troy, IL; Rickey Jones of Decatur, Ala; 2 daughters, Jerry (Bill) Kinney of Alton, Ella (Michael) Clay of Collinsville. 13 grandchildren, 19 great Grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, a sister in law Connie Jones of St. Louis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and with special acknowledgement to nieces Dorothy Lofton and WalterinePeeples.  In a addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters; Elmira, Lovie, Lucille (Augusta), Hattie and one brother Willie Jones.Visitation-Memorial Friday Novembedr 8m 2013 from 1 p.m. until 3:00 p.m at Cathy M.
