Nancy Cook

Nancy Cook, 87, passed away at 10:20pm on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at her residence.  She was born on March 14, 1939, in Eldorado, Illinois, the daughter of the late Joseph and Wanda (Murphy) Dillard. 

She married Melvin Cook on June 15, 1957, in Bethalto, and he survives.  Other survivors include a son and daughter in law: Michael and Carla Cook of Alton, a grandson: Matthew Cook, and many other friends.

A homemaker, Nancy was heavily involved in the church and was a member of Heartland Baptist Church in Alton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Sharon Pearson.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.  Private family inurnment will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
