Mildred Joyce Lowenstein-Nolan, of Fieldon, died September 11, 2018 at her home.
She was born in Alton on November 18, 1945 to Walter and Madeline (Calvert) Griggs. She was retired as a secretary from Local 881. She was also a member of the United Food Workers Union Local 881 Edwardsville.
She is survived by her companion of over 20 years, Wayne Weathers of Fieldon; children, Kimberly Lowenstein Keough of Godfrey (Kenny Johnson - deceased), Shawn Lowenstein (Traci Woods) of Godfrey, Michelle Burns (Chris Cowan) of Godfrey, Michael (Kristi) Weathers, Billy (Kendra) Weathers, Angie (Randy) Traub, and Gene Weathers; grandchildren, Mackenzy Hodge, Cody Keough, Devanee Burns, Chelsea Burns, Tyler Cowan and Shawna Lowenstein, along with several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother Darrell (Donna) Griggs, and sister Shirley (Glen) Heflin; her former husband, Eugene Lowenstein of Florissant, MO, and Wayne Weathers family who she loved as her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and Festes and Hazel Weathers.
Visitation will be Friday, September 14, 2018 from 3 - 5 p.m. at Alexander and Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville, IL. Memorial Service will follow at 5 p.m. at Alexander and Gubser Funeral Home. Pastor Andre Dobson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society.
