Mildred B. Jones, 83 of Godfrey IL received eternal rest on Monday, February 29, 2016, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. with her children by her side.
She was born July, 24, 1932, the daughter of the late Will and Bertha Smith of Alton, IL. Married to William E. Jones on October 13, 1951 who preceded her in death February 9, 2007.
Born to this union were 7 children: Anthony E. Jones, Alton, IL, Gregory D. (Carmen) Jones, Sparta, IL, Linda S. Hearn (Deceased), Gary L. Jones, Godfrey, IL, Beverly A. (Larry) Wright Sr. Independence, KY, Michael W. (Pamela) Jones, Charlotte, NC and DeAnna Y. Jones, Philadelphia, PA – A special son (grandson) Arthur B. (Charita) Hearn II, Tampa, FL, 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Alexander Jones, Centerville, IL, and 2 sisters-in-law, Arnettia Fuller, Memphis TN and Juanita Jones, Oxford MS.
Visitation celebration will be Friday, March 4, 2016 from 4-7 pm at Cathy M. Williams and Sons Funeral Home
Visitation will continue Saturday at 9:00 am at the Bread of Life Fellowship Church, 5000 Humbert Rd, Alton, IL ,Pastor Gregory Denton EulogistBurial Upper Alton Cemetery
