Mickeal Anthony Stephens from Bethalto, IL lost his life in a tragic car accident at the age of 21. He was born May 28, 1996 in Alton to Nannette Jean Stephens (Crane) Morgan of Bethalto and the late Mickeal Arthur Stephens. Mickeal worked at Amazon Fulfillment Center StL 4 in Edwardsville. He was working while going to nursing school. Mickeal had a tender heart and always wanted those around him to be happy. He enjoyed gaming, especially Pokémon, traveling with his mom and family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially his little brother Norman Dale Long. Mickeal was known for helping others and wanted to make the world a better place to live. Mickeal was preceded in death by his father, Mickeal Arthur Stephens. Surviving are his mother, Nannette “Nan” Morgan of Bethalto, his brother, Norman D. Long, grandparents, Norman L. and Gloria J. Crane of Bethalto, Mary Ann Duley of Alton and a great grandmother, Mary C. Jones of Alton. He is also survived by his aunts; Shawna (Scott) Watts of Brighton, Kelly (Dave) Huber of Brighton, Michelle Duley of Wood River, Cindy (Matt) Meixner of St. Peters, MO. Also first cousins, Christopher Watts, Timothy Watts, Brandon Watts, Damian Huber, Jamie Huber, Sierra Huber, Samantha Duley, Corey Bradshaw, Jared Bradshaw, Nik Duley and Aspen Vandygriff, Damon Wahl, Katie Wahl and many 2nd, 3rd and 4th cousins from the area and Indiana. He will be dearly missed by a special person, Brian J. Long of Rosewood heights who was involved as much in his life and is Norman’s father. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017. Pastor Terry McKinzie will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto followed by a luncheon. Memorials may be made to the Gloria Hurst Foundation for Diabetes.
