Michael Young—Bethalto
Michael Young, 57, passed away at 10:16 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2013 at his home.
Born Oct. 14, 1956 in Alton, he was a son of Leon A. and Evelyn O. (Anderson) Young.
He was a past member of the Wood River Moose Lodge. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of the East Alton American Legion. Michael worked as a carpenter and was an avid bowler.
Survivors include a sister, Deborah “Deb” Young Anderson and her husband Thomas Anderson of Bethalto; a brother, William “Bill” Young of Bethalto; an uncle, Oliver Anderson of Lakota, N.D.; a niece, Mindy Young Lawson and her husband Ryan of Bethalto; a nephew, Kyle Dodson and his wife Jessica of Granite City; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Allen Young; a niece, Casey Anderson; a sister-in-law, Debbie Young; and aunts and uncles, Joyce Anderson, Marion Young and Emmett Young.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
