Michael R. "Slick" Rekart, Jr. 71, of Benld, IL, died at his residence on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
He was born April 20, 1950, in Litchfield, IL to Michael R. Rekart, Sr. & Emily (Soltis) Rekart. He worked for Cerner. Michael enjoyed working on computers and riding his motorcycles. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was Captain of the Sawyerville Spartans Turkey Bowl Team since 1966.
He is survived by his sons, Michael (Christine) Rekart III, Jason Rekart, grandchildren, Nicholas Rekart, Noah Rekart, Thomas Rekart, Lucas Rekart, Michael Rekart, Christopher Rekart, Braydon Rekart, Trinity Rekart, Triston Rekart, sisters, Judy Law, Cindy Rekart and companion, Kam Bomkamp.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Linda Basso and Debra Vath.
