Michael P. Mulligan, 69, passed away at John Cochran Hospital on Sunday, August 14th, 2016 at 1:58pm. Born May 17th, 1947 in Alton, he was the son of the late Emil “Bud” and Irma (Foster) Mulligan.
Mr. Mulligan worked as a River Boat Captain for Hannah Marine for 30+ years and served in the United States Army. He will always be known for his love of antique cars and wood working. He was a member of the Riverbend Calvary Chapel. He will be sadly missed by his dogs, Apache and Snuggles.
He married Linda Lou Williamson on April 21st, 1969 in Alton, IL. She survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Carol Wanick of Carlinville, IL; Lois (Terry) Forbes of Hurst, TX.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Irwin and a Great Nephew, Dalton Gray.
Visitation will be from 1-4 on Sunday, August 21st, 2016 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, August 22, 2016. Reverend Dan Johnson will officiate.
Burial will take place at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, IL. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
