Michael W. George, age 56 of Maryville, IL, born September 28, 1966 in Anderson, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Michael worked in the Information Technology Department at Boeing. Before, he worked at Sears department store for many years, and wrote sports articles for the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Michael loved music, live videos, and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard W. and Shirley L., nee Zwemke, George.
He is survived by three brothers and their spouses: Gary (Debbie) George, Richard (Nancy) George, and Jeff (Mary Rodgers) George; four sisters and their spouses: Kim (Scott) Jeremias, Becky (Mike) Siegel, Teresa (Paul) Minton, and Shari (Kyle) Armstrong; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 6 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be private with Father Rob Johnson officiating.
