Michael L. Cummings, 58, died Sunday, September 3, 2017 ar his home.
Born on January 19, 1959 in Alton, he was the son of Loyd and Mary Ann (Roberts) Cummings.
He was a long-time member of the non-profit organization, "Try Club" in Wood River, where he was mentored and where he mentored and developed lasting friendships with many.
He is survived by five children, Michael S. Cummings of Wood River, Christopher Cummins of Odell, IL, Alysha (Joe) Trotter of Pontiac, IL, Trevor Cummings of Godfrey, Austin Cummings of Hamel; two grandchildren; brother, Steve Cummings of Wood River; four sisters, Janet (Mike) Harvey of Hartford, Deb (Doug) Eyers of Brighton, Karen Wittman of Hamel, Cheryl (Bill) Brock of Carrollton; two step-siblings and their families; and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
His parents and three step-siblings preceded in death.
In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated.
A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
