Michael Allan Lumpkins Sr. was born September 19, 1963, from the union of Alfred and Sylvia Lumpkins in Alton, IL. Michael graduated from Alton Senior High School, and after high school, he attended Lewis and Clark Community College. He loved the Lord and was baptized at a young age. Michael was a member of Model Chape and St Mary’s Catholic Church. In 1998 he married Kimberly Lucas and from their union came two sons: Mikkel and Malik Lumpkins.
Michael had his own business called M.A.L Professional Lawn Care LLC because he loved doing yard work. He also enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching football and basketball, gambling, and spending time with family and friends.
On November 19, 2021, at St Anthony’s Hospital Michael transitioned to eternal rest.
He is preceded in death by parents Alfred and Sylvia Lumpkins, grandparents Zelmar and Harriet Lumpkins, Lee and Quida Caldwell, brothers: Anthony and Jeffery Lumpkins, grand-son Camron Lumpkins, nephew Waymen Lockhart, niece Jaquesa Taylor, and cousin, Shaun Powell.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Kimberly, his children: Te’Shira Slack, Michael Lumpkins Jr., Mikkel Lumpkins Sr., and Malik Lumpkins all of Alton, IL, siblings: Lynn (Robert) Fulton of St. Louis, MO, Alfred Lumpkins of Chicago, Anthony (Vicki) Lumpkins of Alton, IL, Lisa Lumpkins, Jackie Lumpkins, John Todd Lumpkins, Joy Lumpkins-Lacey, and Jeffery Lumpkins all of Alton, IL, aunt Marrian Caldwell, and Julius Caldwell both of Chicago, IL, cousin Asa Powell, Todd Caldwell and Mark Caldwell of Chicago, IL good friend Earnie Sykes and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
