Merle Alexander

Merle Janet Alexander(Acord), 79, passed away early Thursday morning, January 21, 2016.Born August 10, 1936 in Wood River, Illinois she was the daughter of Hallard Eugene Acord and Merle Geneva Acord(Cross)Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James E. Acord, her daughter Jody L. Walker, and her granddaughter Crystal N. Walker.Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law Jana and Joseph Hellrung, and their children Caitlin Hellrung and Lucas(Aleah) Hellrung and her great grandchildren Charlotte and Paxton. Her sister Geraldine Blodgett. And many nieces and nephews.Merle retired as a receptionist for Dr. R. Mullens Dentitrsy. And later worked at the Grafton Fudge Shoppe with her childhood best friend Judy Dooer. A world traveler and avid snow and water skier she lived her life with no limits. Her carefree spirit will be missed.We would like to send many thanks to the Willow Rose Rehab for their loving care.
