Melvina Lorriane Knetzer, 90, of Gillespie, IL, died at her residence on Monday, September 5, 2022. She was born January 4, 1932, in Virden, IL to Melvin Robinson & Rozzella Friend Robinson.
She married Joseph Knetzer on March 19, 1948 in Carlinville, IL. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2017.
She was a hairdresser.
She is survived by her son, William Joseph (Agnes) Knetzer of Gillespie, IL, daughters, Linda Lorraine (Dennis) Kahl of Bunker Hill, IL, Tina Ann Knetzer of Pinehurst, NC, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Melvina was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, daughter, JoAnn Knetzer, son, Kenneth Lee Knetzer, sisters, Mary Crouch, Virginia Mae Robinson, Margaret Crafts, Betty LeFaivre, brothers, James Robinson, Lester Robinson, Richard Robinson, Herbert Robinson.
Friends may call on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral services are Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie, IL.
Burial will be at New Calvary Cemetery, Carlinville, IL. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Gillespie - Benld Area Ambulance Service, and Gillespie Public Library.
