Melvin Buder, 74, of Wood River passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024. He was born June 28, 1950 in Wentzville, MO. He attended Alton High School; soon after he joined the United States Navy. After serving his country for four years, he went to work at the Olin Corporation where he worked for 37 years.
Melvin enjoyed building and racing stock cars. He loved spending time with dog, Princess.
He is survived by his mother, Melva (St. Pierre) Buder; daughter, Melody (Jaymie) Buder; sons, Michael, Brian and Charles Buder; two brothers Tommy and Daryl Buder and his longtime friend Carol Buder.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Earl Buder, and a son, Steven Buder.
