Melvin Boda

Melvin J. Boda, 77, of Benld, IL, died at Community Memorial Hospital, Staunton, IL on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 10:12 am.  

He was born February 24, 1949, in Highland, IL to Melvin Boda & Bernice Weiss Boda. He was retired after having been a laborer for R & R Bindery in Girard, IL. Melvin was a veteran of the US Army. He loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.  

He is survived by his life partner, Rosemari Bellovich of Benld, IL, children, Amber (Austin) Herder of Carrollton, IL, Greg Boda of Jerseyville, IL, Jodi Bush Renta of TN, David Boda, grandchildren, Tiffany, Michael, Amanda, Alanah, Carson, Jayden, Brooklyn, Wylon, Briella, Alexandra, Tommy, Daniel, great-grandchildren, Avery, Camille, Nova, Skarlyt, siblings, Charles (Sandy) Boda, Darlene (Dwayne) Johnson, Maryann Grazier, Barb (Joe) Garwood, brother in law, Bill Cook.  

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Allen Lamkin, Timothy Boda, Phillip Boda, siblings, Jerome Boda, Pam Meyer, Cheryl Cook, Diane Boda, brother in law, Ed Grazier.  

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
