Maxx Watson

Maxx Benton Watson, age 49, passed away at his home in Alton, Illinois on Saturday, September 28th, 2024. Maxx was born in Alton, Illinois on July 23rd, 1975 to Donna (Smith) and George Watson. Maxx was a graduate of East Alton-Wood River Community High School. He attended Lewis and Clark Community College. Maxx was employed by Wieland Group of East Alton as a Senior Roller Metal Fabricator. Maxx was a retired minister. He loved the Lord and was his faithful servant. Although Maxx faced many trials and tribulations these last few years due to his declining health, he never gave up and his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ remained strong. He asked that we not grieve for him at the time of his passing, but rejoice as he is now with Jesus.

Maxx enjoyed sports and was an avid baseball card and sports memorabilia collector, with his favorite team being the New York Mets. Maxx is survived by his wife, Amy Seehausen of Alton, Illinois, his daughter, Emily (Jonathan Gayler) Watson of Tennessee, his sons, Parker Watson of Dexter, Missouri and Willie (Australia) Cunningham of Jefferson City, Missouri, his grandsons, Nicholas Benton and Damian Xavier of Tennessee, and Jonas William of Jefferson City, Missouri, his step-sons, Brenden and Edwin Seehausen of Alton, Illinois, his sister, Stacia (Leonard) Woods of Godfrey, Illinois, his brother, Todd (Erin) Watson of East Alton, Illinois, his brother-in-law, Steven Pantone of Godfrey, Illinois, his aunt, Sarah (Daniel) Robien of East Alton, Illinois, his beloved nieces and nephews, Megan, Rigney, Matthew, Zackary, Brayden, Toni, and Jadyn, his cousins, Jennifer, Patrick, Brooke Anna, Clayton, Allen, Bill and Becky, and three special "brothers" Jeffery Wicker, Joe Hazelhorst, and Nathan Karlas, and his beloved dog, Dexx.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna Pantone, Aunt Elsa Lewis, Uncle James Lewis, and grandparents, Ethel Rigney Smith and George Benton Watson and Ora Acup Watson.

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or to American Kidney Fund.
