Maurice Manning

Maurice Edward “Marty” Manning, 59, formerly of Wood River, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017, at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis.He was born November 12, 1957, son of the late William L. and Helen M. (Estes) Manning.On September 23, 2015, Marty married Pamela E. Taylor in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.After many years of working for Explorer Pipeline in Wood River, Marty retired in 2016. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his Harley, and traveling.In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Clifford L. Manning of Alton; one grandson, Damion Manning; one step granddaughter, Angelina Arnett; two sisters, Kathy Cronk of Galena, Maryland, Clarice and Ron Bauch of Jacksonville, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William C. Manning and Frank N. Manning.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017, at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the funeral home with Fr.
