Maurice E. Depper, 70, died at 12:37 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Jerseyville Manor.
He was born on March 5, 1949 to the late Harold and Martha Irene (Starner) Depper.
Maurice grew up in Jerseyville and went on to further his education by obtaining his Associates Degree from Lincoln Land Community College.
He worked as a self-employed painter for many years and enjoyed gardening and growing strawberries.
He is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sandra Bailey of Granite City and Lisa and Bill VanHoose of Jerseyville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Depper and a brother-in-law, Nathan Bailey.
Per his wishes, cremation rights have been accorded and no services are planned at this time.
