Matthew John Terpening, 42, passed away at 3:50 pm Thursday, February 8, 2024 in Alton.
He was born on September 18, 1981, the son of Matthew T. Terpening and Deborah Crafton.
Matthew was hard a worker. He worked as a Roofer, loved people and enjoyed spending time fishing and camping.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah (Crafton) Schooler of Alton, his grandmother, JoAnn Crafton of Godfrey, a nephew, Hayden Schooler; and many Aunts, Uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew T. Terpening, a sister, Crystal Terpening; his grandfather, John Crafton; and two special cousins, Joshua Terpening and Spencer Crafton.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 1:00 pm until time of Funeral Services at 4:00 pm at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Cremation rites will follow.
