Matthew Ritter

Matthew David Ritter, 44, formerly the area, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his residence.
Born in Alton on September 15, 1972, he was the son of George Ritter (Cindy) of St. Charles, MO and Carlyss (Anderson) Schuette of St. Clair, MO.
He had been employed at C.R. Metals in Fenton. He enjoyed spending time camping and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two sons, Zachary D. Ritter of Wood River, Tyler Myers of Alton; daughter, Brittany D. Ritter of Wood River; step-brother, Bill Hale of Texas; sisters, Michelle Ritter of Wood River, Tammy (John) Ruyter; step-sisters, Annette Stein of Fenton, Dee Simonelli of CA; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m.until time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Tony Rangel.
Memorials may be made to the children's educational fund.
