Matt L. Cramer, 51, died at 5:13 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born December 8, 1966 in Pekin, IL, he was the son of Lucas and Mary (VanBuskirk) Cramer. Matt graduated from Jersey Community High School in 1985. He was an independent “Bread Guy” for the past 30 years and attended River of Life Community Church in Godfrey. Matt enjoyed being outdoors fishing, deer hunting, mushroom hunting or just walking in the woods looking for antlers. He also enjoyed working with his daughter, Heather. On April 19, 1990 he married the former Ada Weed in Jerseyville. She survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Heather Cramer and son-in-law Travis Pillman of Dow, a granddaughter, Kaylee Pillman-Cramer, two special cousins, Stella Hale of New Hallen, MO and Sue Mitre of Washington State and other family members, Ruth Byers-Pisgah and Mark Byers. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the River of Life Community Church. Reverend Roger Bruce will officiate. Please come in casual attire as Matt would say “a simple end to a simple life.” Memorials may be made to the River of Life Community Church or the American Cancer Society.
