MaryAnn Shaw age 83 passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Jerseyville Manor in Jerseyville, Illinois.
Born in Batchtown, IL on December 23,1933 the daughter of John and Verna (Behnen) Sancamper. MaryAnn became the loving wife to Claude Merle Shaw Sr. on January 21,1956, in Jerseyville, IL, where they started a beautiful family of their own consisting of 3 daughters, Claudia and Bill Meuth, Melissa Shaw, Shelly and Harry Arter, and 1 son, Claude and Kristi Shaw Jr all of Jerseyville, IL. MaryAnn was a devoted mother whom enjoyed her family very much, later she became a grandmother to 9 grandchildren, Kari Bettorf (Brian), , Lori and Michael Quarton, Greg and Karla Meuth, Adam Shaw, Ryan Arter, Jared Arter, Bret and Brandy Arter, Harry Arter Jr, Lindsey and AJ Shaw and 9 Great- Grandchildren. MaryAnn was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Lavada Haubs, Dorothy Ambrose, Ralph Sancamper. Visitation will be held on Monday October 30, 2017 at 9:00 am until the funeral which will at begin at 11:00 at Alexander and Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville, IL. Rev. Terry Turner will be Officiating, burial at Oak Grove Cemetery Jerseyville, IL. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to The Garden Court of Jerseyville Manor, in Alzheimer Unit in Jerseyville, IL
