MaryAnn Jackson, 71, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton. Born February 16, 1946 in Herrin, IL, she was the daughter of William Kermit and Mary Evelyn (Kelley) Jackson. She worked as a paralegal for Goldenberg, Heller and Antognoli in Edwardsville where she was an advocate for people suffering from Mesothelioma. She is survived by her friend, Elaine F. Perkins of Bethalto and her brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Susan Jackson of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 at House of Victory Church, 21 Harvel Court, Cottage Hills. Reverend Tim Naylor will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the 5A’s Animal Shelter or the Treehouse Wildlife Center. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
