Mary Trobaugh

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Jo (Jenks) Trobaugh who departed this life on September 19th, 2025. She was born to Wilber Glenn Jenks and Mary Louise Jenks on March 10th, 1955, in Peoria Illinois. 

A devoted mother and grandparent she cherished every moment spent with family. She loved all her animals and had many throughout the years. She has a passion for Hummingbirds and enjoyed their return each year. 

Mary Jo Trobaugh is survived by her partner, Richard Trobaugh, her four sons, Brent (Kari) Trobaugh, Chad (Yolonda) Trobaugh, Corey Trobaugh and Andrew Trobaugh.  Her nine grandchildren, Carly Zimmerman, Lucas Trobaugh, Faith Trobaugh, Quinton Trobaugh, Kenya Trobaugh, Chad Trobaugh, Drew Trobaugh, Ian Trobaugh and Cashton Trobaugh. Also surviving are her nine great-grandchildren, Veda Zimmerman, McKinley, Hagen (HOG) Pasley, Killian Zimmerman, Evren Trobaugh, Ivy Trobaugh, Heidi and Phoenix. 

Mary Jo was the baby sister of four siblings, Lary Jenks, Richard Jenks, Nancy Ihnken and Shiela Schertz. 

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.  Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate the remarkable life of Mary Jo Trobaugh.  Mary Jo Trobaugh's legacy will live on through the many lives she touched. Though she may be gone, her spirit, love, and laughter will remain in our hearts forever.
