Mary Kaye Austin, 51, died at 12:56 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at OSF St. Anthony’s Health Center.
Born August 27, 1970, in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Carl and Maxine (Jackson) Swope. Mary owned and operated Austin Notary Service in Godfrey and was formerly the manager of the Granite City KC Hall for 24 years. She married Michael S. Austin on December 25, 2005, in Wood River, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are five children, Mark Woodall of West Virginia, Kody Austin of Kansas City, MO, Dylan Webb of Albany, NY, Kaitlyn Austin of Kansas City, MO, and Stephani Hernandez of Ben Bolt, TX, and a brother, Carl Swope of St. Louis, MO.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Swope.
