Mary Jane Ryan, 86, died at 4:02 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton. Born June 9, 1926 in Alton, she was the daughter of John and Pearl (McManus) Yenny. She was a homemaker and a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton. On September 3, 1955 she married Robert Ryan in Alton. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Susan Martin (Jim) of St. Louis, MO, and Kathleen Lang (Dave) of Atlanta, GA, three grandchildren, Anne and Tess Martin and Leslie Lang. She was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Edward Ryan and a brother, Roger Yenny. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Father Peter Donohoe will officiate.
