Mary Ann Huber, 82, of Bethalto, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was born on February 24, 1944, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Thomas D. and Mary (Grega) Johnson. Mary Ann married Donald D. Huber on June 24, 1982 in Alton. He survives.
Mary Ann was an avid quilter and loved to crochet and cross stitch. She enjoyed playing pinochle and spending time with her family and friends.
Along with her husband, Donald, she is survived by her children, Jeffrey Huber of Bethalto, Donna (Lionel) Gruver of Villa Ridge, Stephanie Journey of Alton, and Lisa Fererro of South Carolina; a son-in-law, Rick Walter of Moro; sister, Bessie Johnson of Bethalto; grandchildren, Brock Huber, Nathan Gruver, Nicholas Gruver, Whitney Gruver, Tiffany Harris, Kyle Journey, Nicholas Pagligaro, Ciara Male, and Derek Walter; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Debbie Walter; brother, James Johnson; and grandchildren, Jennifer Stennis, and Joe Pagligaro.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am, at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
