Mary Kathryn Fenton, 88, of Carlinville, IL, died at LakeSide Heath and Rehab Center, Carlinville, IL on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 4:00 pm. She was born June 3, 1935, in Albion, IL to Gilfred Roosevelt & Mary Stanley Roosevelt. She married James H. Fenton on February 6, 1960 in Wilmington, IL. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2017. Mary was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. She was a retired teacher for Girard High School. She was an Avon Sales Rep and worked at Carlinville Library. She is survived by her children, Eric (Judy) Fenton of Carlinville, IL, Jeff (Maria) Fenton of Bradley, IL, grandchildren, Stephen (Kristy) Fenton, Daniel Fenton, Michael (Melissa) Fenton, Alex Fenton, Christy (Bob) Hillis, Patrick (Rachel) Greer, Anna (Chuck) Kamp, great-grandchildren, Lexi, Oliver, Blair, Amelia, Avery, Megan, Tim, Sarah, Samantha, Austin, Kannon, Katherine, Karlton, Kole, great great grandchildren, Peyton, Paxton, Ophelia, nieces, Ava, Rita, nephews, Greg, Dan, Mark, Dean. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, great grandson, Parker Fenton, sister, Wanda Ackerman, brothers, George Roosevelt, Wilbur Roosevelt. Friends may call on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm. Memorial services will be on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie at 7:00 pm. Memorials are suggested to Carlinville Public Library or Donor's Choice .
