Mary F. Hauhe, 97, passed away at 10:09 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the United Methodist Village.

Born May 18, 1920 in Williamstown, MO, she was a daughter of Roscoe and Marguerite (Johnson) Watt.

She married Thomas W. Hauhe Sept. 4, 1971 in Roxana.  He passed away Jan. 21, 2007. 

A secretary for Walston Aviation, she retired in 1974 after 21 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Ronnie) Lattimore of Edwardsville and Gayle Eardley of Godfrey; a daughter-in-law, Linda Hauhe of East Alton; 5 grandchildren Rhonda (Butch) Hanfelder, Jeff Lattimore, Stacey (Bob) Ripp, and Matt (Melissa) Batchelor; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Thomas, she also was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Leonard McCann and her 2nd husband Guy Basden; a stepson, Dan Hauhe; a grandson, Scott Batchelor; 2 brothers, Harry and Hubert Watt; and 2 sisters, Juanita White and Helen Watt.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 26 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 9 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m.  Pastor Dan Smith will officiate.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
